Charlie King, board member since the inception of the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association, was honored by the USGA with the Ike Grainger Award at their recent virtual meeting.

Each year, the USGA honors those individuals who have served as a volunteer for 25 years.  Charlie has given countless hours of volunteer time not only to the USGA, but to the HSJGA in many capacities.

Charlie’s giving heart extends beyond volunteering.  He opened King Auto Center on Kauai and later renovated a section of the building as office space for the HSJGA with no cost to the organization.   This one act of generosity has lead to the success of where the HSJGA is today! Charlie’s love for golf and love for helping others is what really makes him someone so unique and special.  Thank you, Charlie King and congratulations on your award!
